High-Net-Worth Couple From London FIT / Case Study

Client Objective

The client organized a trip to Japan as a 50th birthday gift for her husband, traveling with a group of close friends. The goal of the trip was simple: to celebrate and have fun together.

Concept & Approach

To enhance the group dynamic of eight male guests celebrating a milestone birthday, we designed personalized “happi jackets” for the group, which they wore during the trip and later kept as a souvenir.

Execution Highlights

  • 10 May 2024 | Shinjuku night tour: drink like a local - The experience offered an evening exploration of Shinjuku’s vibrant nightlife, guided through authentic local spots. Guests enjoyed a casual introduction to the area’s bar culture and atmosphere.

  • 11 May 2024 | Grand Sumo Tournament viewing from VIP front-row seats -Guests attended the Grand Sumo Tournament from VIP front-row seats, offering an up-close view of the matches. The experience provided insight into Japan’s traditional sport and its rituals.

  • 14 May 2024 | Mt. Fuji glamping & e-bike adventure - A nature trip around Mt. Fuji included glamping and an e-bike ride through scenic surroundings. It mixed outdoor relaxation with an easy, active way to explore the area.

  • Curated Experiences - A visit to a local sake brewery in Osaka offered insight into traditional brewing. It was paired with a street food tour highlighting the city’s popular flavors.

  • Kyoto Heritage Journey - A guided exploration of Kyoto’s historic districts, temples, and gardens, including private tea ceremony access and after-hours cultural site visits.

Challenges & Solutions

The itinerary required continuous adaptation due to shifting guest preferences, seasonal congestion, and weather-dependent experiences, particularly in Hakone and Kyoto. Availability constraints for high-demand dining and cultural experiences also required dynamic rescheduling.

The request was received just one month prior to arrival. Within a short timeframe, we designed the itinerary, secured high-demand experiences, and coordinated all services to ensure a smooth and well-executed trip.

High-Net-Worth Family From Dubai FIT / Case Study

Client Objective

A family of 3 traveled to Japan for 27 days to immerse themselves in the culture, visiting not only major attractions but also off-the-beaten-path destinations. The client had a strong interest in experiencing matsuri (Japanese festivals) and gaining a deeper understanding of local traditions.

Concept & Approach

As the travel period fell during summer, the itinerary was built around some of Japan’s most renowned seasonal festivals.

Additional focus areas included religion (Shintoism and Buddhism) and bushido/samurai culture, reflecting the client’s interests.

Execution Highlights

  • 12 July 2023 | Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail walk & temple lodging - The experience included a guided walk along the historic pilgrimage trail, offering insight into its spiritual and cultural significance. Guests then stayed in traditional temple lodging for an immersive overnight experience.

Challenges & Solutions

The trip was initially postponed due to the pandemic. During this period, we maintained close

communication with the client and used the additional time to further refine and enhance the itinerary.

This allowed for a more in-depth and thoughtfully curated program once travel resumed.

Vvip (Hollywood Star) FIT / Case Study

Challenges & Solutions

Ensuring complete privacy was paramount. To mitigate risks from fans and paparazzi, all partners were required to sign strict NDAs, and photography and autograph requests were prohibited. Routes and schedules were carefully planned in coordination with a dedicated security team to minimize public exposure while maintaining flexibility.

Additionally, the client experienced jet lag during the evenings, requiring last-minute adjustments; these were managed seamlessly by the Luxurique team, ensuring minimal disruption to the overall experience.
